Comment posted Simple frosting recipe without cocoa powder or cream? by ZonaFur.

1 lb powdered sugar (may need more)
1/2 stick butter, softened
up to 1/4 cup milk
a little vanilla extract

Cream butter and about half the powdered sugar together, then slowly add more powdered sugar. When it gets to thick, add a little milk, then more powdered sugar, etc. until it reaches the right consistency and flavor. Add the vanilla and it's done.
I suppose you could melt the chocolate bar and mix it in if you wanted to, but I'm not sure if it would work as I've never tried that.

  • 4 cups of powdered sugar one cup of milk and put in a blender together to combine with 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • Make a simple butter cream icing:

Take two sticks of butter, softened, and cream it in your mixer with 2 tbsp of milk and 1 tsp of vanilla. Mix in 4 cups of sifted powdered sugar.

You can melt 4 squares of chocolate and add it in if you want chocolate butter cream.

This makes about 3 cups of icing.
